CPA Learning Centre

Welcome
The Centre for Property Acquisition (CPA) is responsible for setting the training standards and developing the capability of frontline staff, while improving consistency and accountability of NSW acquiring agencies engaged in the acquisition process.
Courses
CPA training courses better equip practitioners with the appropriate skills and training required to provide customer service excellence and help property owners, tenants and businesses navigate the property acquisition process. Our highly interactive courses will provide you with guidance and practical strategies to improve your skills and knowledge and apply these both in your workplace and beyond. All key practitioners and staff involved in acquisitions are required to complete minimum proficiency training to be able to access the Acquisition Hub Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) and enter property acquisition cases. Please see below for information on the mandatory NU81 Core Practitioner Course and NU165 Acquisition Hub CRM Course.
NU81 Core Practitioner Course
The NU81 Core Practitioner Course is delivered in a one day workshop which examines the key steps of the property acquisition and relocation process. This course introduces you to the property acquisition standards, the CPA and NSW privacy laws. Roles and responsibilities at each step are outlined and communications strategies and case studies for successfully supporting residents are presented. The role of the Valuer General for compulsory acquisitions and the role of the Centre for Property Acquisition are also integrated into the training materials. At the completion of this course, you will understand how to:
Acquire property by agreement and the compulsory acquisition process
Comply with government requirements
Assess the needs of the property owner and resident through the property acquisition process and effectively service their relocation needs and support
Work with the CPA, property and project teams to develop strategies to deliver on project objectives
During the NU81 Core Practitioner Course we will check our knowledge by completing Quick Quizzes. Click on the links to the right to access the Just Act Quiz and the Acquisition Process Quiz. Good luck!
